What a Mega Month! Here is a huge picture overload on what we were up to this month. The kids have also been bugging me to overhaul our blog layout design. So the blog is "under construction" with semi current side photos until we can get family pictures taken again, which might be awhile!
Tracen turned 6 months old! Can you believe it? He loves to be so involved in everything. If you are eating, he tries to grab your food. If you are reading he wants his own little book. So when Jeff was trying to look at the Newspaper, Tracen wanted to check it out too.
We are so proud of Tucker as he was the 2nd grade winner, and one of the six school finalists, who got to send their entry to represent our school for a google ad and essay scholarship contest. Tucker has had a great interest in art, and we are so excited for him and his talents.
As you can see in some of the following photos, Tracen has starting eating baby food. He was not that thrilled about his first taste of rice cereal, but really loves bananas and squash. Jeff thought he would enjoy sucking on a piece of licorice during our family movie night, and he was quite entertained for almost 20 minutes. The poor little guy still has not had any teeth break through, even though he as been gnawing on everything in sight. Our other boys always loved rubbing a cold carrot on their gums while they were teething, but Tracen will only play with it his carrot for a minute
Soccer is going full swing at our house. Yes, we are crazy and have four out of five boys playing on different teams this year! I told my self, It is only for 6 weeks, we can do this! So any warm day they are all out side practicing their "moves" in preparation for their upcoming season.
Tate has been busy in cub scouts and attend a community scout swim where he could pass off all the elements for his aquanot pin in Weblows. It was a sea of scouts at the local pool, but I think he had a good time.
Spring is trying to show its face with the beginning blooms in the flower beds and also brings school programs, where Tucker's class performed fun songs on how we should all take care of our planet. Good Job Tucker!
Tracen experienced his first St. Patricks day and is now enjoying the entertainment of the activity saucer. It is one of the many "stations" he get to play in through out the day to keep him busy.
We were very proud to learn that Tanner received an award this past trimester for outstanding student. There are only 6 boys and 6 girls out of the whole 8th grade during the entire year who receive this award.(Two a trimester) He was nominated by his PE teacher. Tanner thought it was probably from some experiences during the class where they had to run the dreaded mile several different times to see if they improved. Tanner finished at the front of the pack and so for his "cool down" he ran along side other students at the back of the pack encouraging them and trying to make sure no one had to come in last alone. When he told me the story, I about had tears in my eyes, and was so proud of him helping the underdog and trying to make sure no one had that dreaded Middle School embarrassing moment! Well done Tanner!
