Mary, Mary quite contrary how does your garden grow? It takes time, patience and a father who loves to putter in the yard. We are very lucky when my parents moved in, that my Dad brought a lot of plants along with desire to make our front flower beds more beautiful!
I wish I would have taken a before shot, where the weeds were at least as tall as Tommy, all along the front field & flower beds. Jeff is a great gardener, but 5 acres is a little overwhelming to try and work. He has been so busy with church callings, work, canning and everyday life to spend as much time outside as he has wanted. It takes days for him to mow down the weeds and then try to take care of our 2nd garden down at his parents. We have started a nice little orchard in back, but are still trying to figure out the irrigation and soil conditions. So we told my Dad to have at the front and he has done a great job.
The pictures don't really do it justice, but just wanted to thank him, and show off his talents for helping beautify our little homestead. Good Job, Dad!

How lucky are you to adopt all of those mature perenials? The yard looks great! We will be with Jen on the field trip to check it out in person.
